The Today Page in Spare EAM

Your AI front door to Spare EAM — ask Scout anything, use recommended actions, pick up recent conversations, and follow everything happening across your operation in the activity log.

Written by Product Team

The Today page is the home page of Spare EAM — and your AI front door to Spare. It puts Scout, Spare's AI assistant, front and center, and pairs it with a live activity log of everything happening across your operation, so you can start every day with a clear picture of your fleet.

Ask Scout anything

At the top of the page, ask Scout about your fleet, work orders, parts, or open issues and click Start to begin a conversation. You can also:

  • Use a recommended action — one-click prompts for common jobs like creating an issue, creating a work order, or getting an end-of-day summary.

  • Pick up a recent conversation — your previous Scout conversations are listed on the right, so you can continue where you left off.

The activity log

Below Scout, the activity log is a live feed of everything happening in Spare EAM — giving you a sense of the progress and activity across the platform at a glance. Each entry shows what happened, who did it, and when, and links straight to the record. The feed covers:

  • Work orders — created, assigned, completed, cancelled, reopened

  • Issues — created, resolved, closed, reopened

  • Inspections — completed inspections and urgent inspection failures

  • Assets — status changes and meter entries

  • Parts & purchasing — purchase orders (submitted, approved, rejected, ordered, items received), part requests, and inventory adjustments

  • Telematics — fault codes received from connected integrations

Use the filters to focus the feed on specific Activity Types, a particular User, or one or more Assets — and click Check for latest to pull in anything new since you opened the page.
