Overview
The Live Map Watchlist surfaces real-time alerts when drivers experience operational issues such as late pull-outs, going offline, or prolonged stops. While active alerts are visible on the Watchlist, there was previously no way to review alerts after they ended.
The Duty Alerts page solves this. It gives supervisors and admins a dedicated place to audit and review all alerts — both active and completed — so you can identify patterns, follow up on unresolved issues, and understand what happened during a shift.
Finding the Duty Alerts Page
The Duty Alerts page is found under Shift Scheduling → Duty Alerts in the sidebar navigation.
The Duty Alerts List
The list shows all alerts with the following columns:
Driver — which driver triggered the alert
Type — the alert type (Late Pullout, Offline, Idle Outside Service Zone, Prolonged Stop, Unexpected Stop)
Duty — the associated duty
Started At — when the alert began
Notes — any notes added by dispatchers
Dismissed At — when the alert was dismissed
Each alert shows a status badge: In Progress (blue) for active alerts, or Ended (grey) for completed alerts.
Filtering and Custom Views
You can filter the list by:
Type — filter by specific alert types
Driver — filter by a specific driver
Status — In Progress or Ended
Created At — filter by date range
You can also create custom views to save filter combinations for recurring audits — for example, a view for all ended Prolonged Stop alerts from the past week.
Viewing Alert Details
Clicking into an alert opens a detail panel with the full context of what happened:
Type — the alert type (e.g. Late Pullout, Prolonged Stop at Pickup)
Prolonged Stop Type — for prolonged stops, whether it occurred at a Pickup, Dropoff, or Route Stop
Driver — the driver involved, with a link to their profile
Duty — the associated duty, with a link to the Duty Time Travel view
Started At / Ended At — the full duration of the alert
Delay — how much downstream delay the alert caused
Dismissed At — when a dispatcher dismissed the alert (if applicable)
Notes — any notes left by dispatchers
Reason — the reason category assigned to the alert
Editing Notes and Reasons
From the alert detail panel, you can edit the Notes and Reason fields directly. This allows supervisors to document what caused an alert or add context after reviewing it — even after the alert has ended.
Notes are free-text fields where you can describe the circumstances of the alert, any actions taken, or follow-up needed. Reason lets you assign a category to the alert from a predefined list, making it easier to identify trends across alerts.
Note: Dismissing alerts can only be done from the Watchlist while the alert is still active. The Duty Alerts page is for reviewing and annotating alerts, not for dismissing them.
Time Travel View
Below the alert details, a Time Travel view is displayed automatically. This replays the duty’s state at the time the alert started, so you can see exactly what was happening on the map — where the vehicle was, what stops were scheduled, and how the delay unfolded.
Tip: You can expand the detail panel to full screen for a better view of both the alert details and the Time Travel map.
How Duty Alerts Relate to the Watchlist
The Watchlist on the Live Map shows active alerts in real time, helping dispatchers respond to issues as they happen. The Duty Alerts page complements the Watchlist by providing a historical record of all alerts for post-shift review and auditing.
The same alert types appear in both places: Late Pullout, Offline, Idle Outside Service Zone, Prolonged Stop, and Unexpected Stop. For details on what each alert type means and when it triggers, see the Watchlist article.
