Prerequisites
Adding your website to the allowed list:
For security reasons, Rider Web only loads inside websites that are on its allowed list. This prevents anyone else from putting your booking portal on their own site and impersonating your agency. Because of that, the embed is a two-part setup: Spare adds your website to the allowed list, and then you paste a snippet into it.
What to do: Contact Spare Support and tell us the exact website address you want to embed on (for example, https://example.com). If you want to embed on several sites or subdomains, send all of them. We will add them to the allowed list and redeploy your Rider Web site so the change takes effect. Until that redeploy is complete, the embed section will not appear in Spare, and the embed will not load, so plan on a short wait between sending us a website and being able to publish the embed.
What we can add: Allowed entries are website addresses, not specific pages, and they must be secure (https://) sites. A single site like https://example.com covers every page on that site, so you do not need to send each page separately. If you want to cover all of your subdomains at once, we can add a wildcard such as https://*.example.com.
Adding the embed to your website
Once you have completed the prerequisites above, you can follow the steps below to embed Rider Web on your website:
In Settings → Rider Interfaces, click on "Embed on your website."
Check the "Allowed websites" list and confirm that the website you want to embed Rider Web on is present.
Click "Copy Snippet" and give this to the person managing your website; they will be able to add it to the page for you.
That is all! Once your website is republished with the code snippet, riders will be able to use the Rider Web application without ever leaving your agency's website.
Frequently Asked Questions
I do not see "Embed on your website" in Rider Interfaces. Why not?
The section only appears once at least one website has been added to your rider app's allowed list. Contact Support with the website address you want to embed on, and the section will appear after we add it and redeploy your Rider website.
Can I embed on more than one website?
Yes. Send Support every site you would like to embed on.
What happens if the snippet ends up on a website that is not on the allowed list?
The browser blocks it, and riders see an empty area instead of the booking portal. That is the security protection working as intended. If the embed is not loading, first confirm that the page's website appears in the "Allowed websites" list.
Is the embedded experience the same as the standalone web link?
Yes, the embed loads the exact same Rider Web experience.
We changed our website domain. What do we need to do?
Contact Support with the new address. Your existing snippet will stop working until the new domain is added to the allowed list and your Rider Web site is redeployed, so it is worth sending us the change before you migrate.
