Stripe is a third party that allows credit card payments to be processed directly in Spare. Stripe integrates directly with Spare, allowing for easy setup while protecting rider information.
Step-by-Step: Adding a Credit Card in the Spare Rider App
Open the Spare app on your device and go to Account Settings:
Select “Payments.”
Select “Credit Card” and then “Add Payment Method.”
Enter your credit card details as prompted, and select "Save Card". You will need to agree to Stripe securely saving your information.
If you want to remove a card later, tap on it and select “Remove.”
Setting Your Default Payment Method
To make your new credit card the default, tap the payment method icon, open the card, and select “Make Default.”
What Happens Next
Once your card is added, you’ll be able to select it as your payment method when booking trips.
If your service uses grouped transactions, you may see charges grouped together on your statement (for example, all trips in a week processed as one charge).
