The original 2.74 version of the Spare Driver App entered beta in December 2026
During the beta period in January 2026, two issues were identified
Those issues have been resolved in version 2.75 of the Spare Driver App, which you can learn more about here
For customers who were part of the 2.74 beta, we also released these fixes to 2.74.20
Minor Fixes in 2.74 (will also be available in 2.75)
When the driver app is in offline mode, drivers can access directions in the mapping software of their choice on the device. More on this here.
Fixed a bug that prevented users from seeing the top notification bar on certain Android devices
Fixed a bug where the notification noise wasn't playing when new trips were added to a driver's manifest
A Note on Key Features
The ability to mute google maps voice navigation was included in 2.74's beta period. Given that this beta is no longer available, but we received positive feedback on this feature, we added this feature to 2.73. You can read more about that here.
The ability for riders to share their location with drivers has been moved to the 2.75 release, you can read more about that here.
