What are location notes?

Pickup and Dropoff Location notes allow riders and admins to add specific messages for drivers. This optional feature streamlines communication and improves clarity for drivers, ensuring smoother daily operations for everyone.

How does it work?

From the Admin Panel

Admins can create and edit notes when scheduling a trip.

If a rider is traveling to or from one of their favorite locations–and that location has a note–the default note for the favorite location will auto-populate on the request creation screen.

From the Rider App

Riders can create and edit notes when confirming their pickup and dropoff locations in the app.

Riders can also create, update, or remove default notes for their favorite locations. The Location Note field is directly below the nickname field.

From the Driver App

Drivers will be able to see notes left by either Admins or Riders. If the note is short it will fully display the note on the driver's view.

If the note is longer than 2 lines, drivers can expand the note by tapping on the note field.

FAQ:

Q: Are there any limitations on the length of a Location Note?

A: Notes must be less than 2048 characters. In practice, concise notes are easier for drivers to read.

Q: How do admins view and modify Location Notes for Favorite Locations?

A: Admins can create and edit Favorite Locations by navigating to the rider’s profile, clicking into Preferences, then adding or editing that rider's Favorite Locations.
