The Spare Driver app allows drivers to call riders next up on their manifest using an anonymous VOIP phone number, which means that both the rider's phone number and the driver's phone number will remain confidential. Because this feature charges carrier phone fees, it is an add-on to the Spare Platform and comes at an additional cost. To enable this feature, please speak with your Spare representative.
The Spare Driver-to-Rider calling feature is especially helpful when a driver is trying to locate a rider.
Tap on the Rider's Info button
To call a rider, the driver needs to tap on the Info button by the rider's name.
Tap the Call icon
Next, tap the Call icon (a green phone). Drivers will need to make sure their volume is turned up.
End the call
To end the call, tap the red phone icon. You can then go back by tapping the X in the top left.
