Your Home Screen in the EAM Mobile App

The two versions of the home screen: your job list, and the inspection-only card.

What you see when you open the app depends on one thing: whether your account is allowed to see work orders.

There are two versions of the home screen.

1. If you work on jobs

Your home screen is your job list.

My Work Orders shows every job assigned to you, grouped by the day it is booked in for:

  • Carried Over

  • Today

  • Tomorrow

  • This Week

  • Next Week

  • Later

  • Unscheduled

Within each day, urgent jobs come first. Tap any card to open that job.

When you have no jobs assigned

The list changes to Available Work Orders. These are jobs nobody has taken yet, waiting for someone to pick them up.

Each card has an Assign to me button, so you can claim a job without opening it first.

💡 You never see both lists at the same time. It is either your own jobs, or the unclaimed ones.

Giving a job back

If a job turns out not to be yours to finish, open it, tap the ... at the top right and choose Unassign. It goes back on the list for someone else.

Three things change straight away:

  • Your name is replaced by Unassigned.

  • The circles next to each task disappear, because you cannot work on a job that is not assigned to anyone.

  • The button at the bottom becomes Assign to me, ready for the next person.

💡 Somebody else's job looks the same to you: you can read all of it, but there are no circles to tick and no button at the bottom.

2. If you only do inspections

You have no job list, because inspections are all you do in this app.

Instead, the home screen is a single card for starting an inspection, and the row of buttons along the bottom is shorter: just Home and Scan.

Step 1. Choose the vehicle.

The card starts with one empty field. Start Inspection is greyed out until you fill it in.

Step 2. Find it in the list.

Tapping the field opens a search box. Type part of a fleet number to narrow the list down.

Step 3. Choose the checklist.

A second field appears once you have picked the vehicle. It only shows up now because the checklists on offer depend on which vehicle you chose.

If a vehicle only has one checklist set up for it, the app fills this in for you.

Step 4. Start.

With both fields filled in, the button turns solid green. Tap it to open the checklist.
